Bloomberg reported that several institutions of the European Union, including the European Commission, have been cyberattacked.
According to the commission's representative, some EU bodies "faced an incident in the field of IT security in their IT infrastructure."
An informed source told the agency that the attack was severe enough, and high-ranking officials of the EC were informed about it. Another source said the commission's staff had recently been alerted to potential phishing attempts.
