A gas explosion caused a building to collapse in west London!

What we know

  • A gas explosion reported at the property in Ealing, West London
  • Five people have been rescued after a building collapsed following a suspected gas explosion
  • London Fire Brigade confirmed 14 adults and two children were able to self-evacuate from the surrounding buildings
  • The blast happened at a phone shop and barbers on King Street in Ealing 
  • Station Commander Alan Brand said: "Sadly we believe that there are fatalities within the property although we're unable to confirm numbers at this stage"
  • Around 40 firefighters Southall, Hayes, Heston, Ealing and Feltham fire stations are at the scene

 

It is confirmed this was an accident event. There is no word of a terrorist attack.
