A strong earthquake strikes Greece

A strong earthquake struck Greece on Wednesday 03/03/2021  at 10.16 am local time (9.16 GMT). According to the first seismological calculations, the quake had a magnitude of  6.2 Richter at a depth of 11 kilometres and with the epicentre near the city of Larissa, located about halfway between Athens and Thessaloniki.

At the moment, there are no reports of damage or casualties.
